OMAHA, Neb. Some good news from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. According to a Corps press release, three breaches along the Missouri River, southeast of Rockport, MO were recently closed up.

The Corps Omaha District said that these are the third, fourth, and fifth breaches that have been closed under a contract with Weston Solutions Inc. out of West Chester, PA.

“It has been amazing to see how everyone has been able to come together and works towards repairing this damaged levee system,” said Rachel Shrader, USACE Project Manager.

The Corps said there are only two remaining outlet breaches left in the Missouri River Levee System L-550 area and they expect those two breaches to be closed by the beginning of April.
